| FEB05 - Quick release hook system with MLMS to Taiwan |
In the beginning of 2006 we will deliver a large project to Taiwan company FPCC (Formosa Petrochemical Corporation).
This project is a double terminal with 2 X 8 quick release hook stations including load monitoring system and remote quick release.
The system was sold by the MARIMATECH agent in Taiwan, Daniel International. The sales man from Daniel International, who got the order (in close competition with Harbour Marine Engineering), was Ted Hu.
Ted has worked for this job several months and this project was rather unusual because Daniel International is the turnkey supplier. They have the total responsibility for things such as the actual installation, cabling etc for the entire system.
Ted has had many sleepless nights because this project is very complex and this is his first project its kind. The fact that the customer was very demanding and asked for many special items such as stainless steel anchor bolts and special paint for the hooks did not make things easier.
