The Harbour Authorities of Klaipeda purchased in June 2004 a combined Laser Docking System, Pilot System and Environmental Monitoring System:
2 Laser Docking Systems for the 2 Oil Jetties.
And
5 E-Sea Fix Pilot Systems.
Note that this combination of RTK/GPS portable system and laser docking systems are becoming still more common – and MARIMATECH have the most versatile solution based on modern wireless LAN technology.
The 3 systems are combined in such a way that the pilots are getting all the information’s presented directly on the pilot system.
The pilots systems can be used for safe docking not only on the Oil Jetties but also to all the berths inside the area of Klaipeda Harbour, due to the unique Docking Mode of the System
Part of the delivery was training done by Poul H. Iversen.
Part 1(Day 1 +2) of the training is: Training in the software and how to maintain the system including how to upgrade the ENC S-57 charts, this is normally done as a school Class session, but this is a full day seminar.
