| AUG06 - New Sales Manager |
In order to strengthen the sales of MARIMATECH systems and solutions we have hired a new Sales Manager who started working 1 August 2006.
His name is Carsten Kjaer Hansen. He is 40 years old and educated as marine engineer back in 1989.
Looking back but also forward, his career reflects an exiting and wide range of jobs.
For 5 years he was marine engineer onboard LPG tankers owned by the Danish company A.P. Moller - Maersk. Here he was responsible for not only the propulsion machinery but also all machinery related to the various cargo operation processes as well as dry docking of the ships world wide.
For another 5 years he was one of the pioneers taking part in implementing fast catamaran ferries in the domestic Danish waters. Twice he has done the delivery trip of a large fast ferry (carrying up to 250 cars) from the Australian shipyard to the Danish home port. Furthermore he has supported US Navy in a pilot project involving commercial catamarans for military applications, -successful outcome.
The past 6½ years he was Sales Manager for YORK Marine, the World’s largest supplier of refrigeration plants for the marine segment. Due to his background as marine engineer he was responsible for all non standard refrigeration units such as chilling units for navy projects and LPG condensing units for gas teminals.
We believe that Carsten has an ideal background for his new position.
Carsten will be selling docking systems with focus on the quick release hooks world wide.
